Yesterday, Irembo, in partnership with Our Past Initiatives, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting communities affected by the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, visited the Rulindo District genocide against the Tutsi survivors community in Shyorongi.
Irembo donated 70 goats, 2 goats per family, to 35 families of genocide survivors, providing them with a sustainable source of income and a step toward self-sufficiency.
“At Irembo, we believe in giving back to the communities that have endured so much. Partnering with Our Past Initiatives to provide these families with goats is our way of supporting their journey toward recovery and self-sufficiency. We are honored to be part of such a meaningful cause.” – Nyinawinkindi Liliose.

Our Past Initiatives’ Founder, Christian Intwari, stated, “This partnership with Irembo allows us to extend our reach and significantly impact the lives of those who have endured unimaginable hardships. By providing these families with goats, we hope to offer them immediate relief and a sustainable means to improve their livelihoods.”
