How do I get started with IremboPay? +
  • No code integration with payment links: Generate and share payment links via email or SMS with zero coding experience.
  • API integration & embedded payment page: Embed our payment page into your platform or website using
    our API.

    • Our API is available in Java, Python, JavaScript & NodeJS.
How do I get started with IremboPay? (Onboarding & KYC Process) +

Since we currently do not offer self-onboarding, follow these steps:

  1. Contact us: Reach us via our
    website through the contact form or email us at
    irembopay@irembo.com.
  2. Provide Business Information: Our team will guide you through submitting required documents, including:
    1. Business registration certificate
    2. Tax identification number (TIN)
    3. Identification documents of key business owners/partners
  3. KYC Review: Once all the documents are submitted, our team will verify your details and activate your account.
What is IremboPay’s pricing & fee structure? +
  • Custom rate pricing: Our pricing fee is not fixed and we are flexible for different businesses and their transaction volumes.
  • Setup fees: Setup fees may apply, with waivers considered following assessment.
How often are settlements made? +
  • Current schedule: We offer T-2 settlements which are processed every Wednesday and Friday.
  • Future Plans: We are working on flexible settlement options tailored to merchant preferences to enhance cash flow management.
How many currencies do you support? +

We currently support RWF, USD, EUR, and GBP. Merchants can get paid in these currencies and receive their settlements in the same currency.

Do you settle to both banks and mobile money accounts? +

Currently, we only settle with banks but are exploring the possibility of settling to mobile money accounts in the near future.

How many payment channels do you offer? +

We offer over 14 payment channels, including:

  • MTN Mobile Money
  • Airtel Money
  • Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Cash (branches & agents of I&M, BK, Ecobank, NCBA)
  • Internet, Mobile, and USSD Banking (I&M, BK, Ecobank, NCBA)
  • Bank Transfers (All local banks)
